VAG group 1.0 3 cylinder petrol engine setting/locking kit - AST-5140

AST-5140 covers engine timing and belt change applications on the latest VAG 1.0 petrol engines. The engine is a three cylinder twin camshaft unit, with 4 valves per cylinder and a variable inlet camshaft with a tri-lobed sprocket, providing additional tension to the belt exactly when it is required. The drive between the crankshaft and camshafts is provided by a toothed belt in a conventional arrangement. These engines are currently fitted in the volkswagen up! city car, along with the Skoda Citigo and Seat Mii derivatives. These vehicles have won many accolades since their launch in 2011, including the prestigious &lsquo,World Car of theYear&rsquo, award in 2012. This trio of vehicles have been selling similar levels as the market leading Fiat 500.
